THE SWEEPSTAKES IS OPEN ONLY TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE FORTY-EIGHT (48) CONTIGUOUS UNITED STATES AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA WHO ARE AT LEAST EIGHTEEN (18) YEARS OLD AND HAVE REACHED THE AGE OF MAJORITY IN THEIR JURISDICITON OF RESIDENCE.
AS A CONDITION OF PRIZE CLAIM, POTENTIAL WINNER WILL BE REQUIRED TO REPLY AS INSTRUCTED TO WINNER NOTIFICATION WITHIN 24 HOURS.

1. DESCRIPTION/ENTRY PERIOD: The WoodSpring Suites × Sorensen Motorsports “Drift to the Finish Line” Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”) sponsored by Choice Hotels International Services Corp. (“Sponsor”), consists of a random-draw sweepstakes offered via a promotional post (the “Promotional Post”) on Instagram. The Sweepstakes begins on September 28, 2026, at the moment the Promotional Post is published on Instagram. Note that the Promotional Post is a collaborative post which will appear simultaneously at https://www.instagram.com/woodspringsuites/, https://www.instagram.com/sorensenmotorsports; https://www.instagram.com/amanda.sorensen12; and https://www.instagram.com/branden_sorensen. The Sweepstakes ends at 11:59 PM Eastern Time (“ET”) on October 11, 2026. The period during which the Sweepstakes is open for entry may be referred to herein as the “Entry Period”. Free Instagram app download is available via www.instagram.com.
2. ELIGIBILITY: The Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the 48 Contiguous United States and the District of Columbia (the “Eligibility Area”) who are at least eighteen (18) years or older and have reached the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence, and who have a valid Instagram account. Employees, officers, and directors of Sponsor, Sorensen Motorsports, all of their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, and franchisees, and any company or individual involved with the design, production, execution or distribution of the Sweepstakes (“Excluded Participants”), as well as members of Excluded Participants’ immediate families (parents, step-parents, children, step-children, siblings, step-siblings and spouse) and households (people who share the same residence at least three months out of the year) are not eligible to participate in the Sweepstakes. Void outside the Eligibility Area and where prohibited or restricted by law. The Sponsor’s determinations of eligibility are final and may be made at any time.
For the purposes of these Official Rules, the term “Participant” may hereafter refer to any person participating in the Sweepstakes or related prize or related activity, in any way. Where the term “entrant” is used in these Official Rules, the referenced person is also considered a “Participant”.
3. PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT: BY PARTICIPATING IN THE SWEEPSTAKES, EACH PARTICIPANT REPRESENTS AND WARRANTS THAT THEY: [A] HAVE READ THESE OFFICIAL RULES, AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THEM, AND BY THE INTERPRETATIONS OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES BY THE SPONSOR, AND BY THE DECISIONS OF THE SPONSOR, WHICH ARE FINAL AND BINDING IN ALL MATTERS RELATING TO THIS SWEEPSTAKES; [B] AGREE TO RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS THE RELEASEES AS FURTHER DETAILED IN SECTION 8; [C] ACKNOWLEDGE COMPLIANCE WITH THESE OFFICIAL RULES; [D] WARRANT THAT ALL INFORMATION PROVIDED BY PARTICIPANT IN CONNECTION WITH THE SWEEPSTAKES IS TRUE, ACCURATE AND COMPLETE; AND [E] AGREE TO COMPLY WITH ALL APPLICABLE FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS.
4. TO ENTER: During the Entry Period, log in to your Instagram account and visit either https://www.instagram.com/woodspringsuites/, https://www.instagram.com/sorensenmotorsports, https://www.instagram.com/amanda.sorensen12, or https://www.instagram.com/branden_sorensen and look for the Promotional Post which offers entry into this Sweepstakes. Earn one entry by: (a) following @woodspringsuites on Instagram; and (b) adding a comment to the Promotional Post where you tag a friend who you believe would want to attend a drift race and whom you have permission to tag. See Section 5 below for important additional entry requirements. Further, note that your entry will not be considered successfully submitted if your Instagram account settings prevent Sponsor and its agents from seeing your entry. Note also that the friend you tag in your comment will not receive an entry into the Sweepstakes by virtue of being tagged in your comment; however, they may also enter the Sweepstakes if they wish (and if they are eligible under, and comply with, these Official Rules). Entries must be completed no later than 11:59 PM ET on October 11, 2026. Entrants must remain followers of @woodspringsuites on Instagram through the time of prize award. Entries and other submitted material become the property of Sponsor (subject only to terms imposed by Instagram) and will not be acknowledged or returned.
Limit (1) entry per person/Instagram account. Any attempt by a person to use multiple accounts or identities to gain more entries than permitted by these Official Rules shall result in disqualification at the discretion of Sponsor or its designee(s). Sponsor is under no obligation to correspond about entries, nor is Sponsor required to acknowledge its receipt of entries. Proof of submission of entry does not constitute proof of receipt of entry. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of the entrant associated with any entry, the authorized account holder of the Instagram account associated with the entry, at the time of submission, will be deemed to be the entrant. The “authorized account holder” is the natural person assigned to the Instagram account by Instagram. Potential winner(s) may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder. In the event that a dispute regarding the identity of the person who actually submitted an entry cannot be resolved to Sponsor's satisfaction, the affected entry will be deemed ineligible. In addition to compliance with these Official Rules, Participants must also comply with the terms of service at www.instagram.com/about/legal/terms. Normal Internet access and usage charges imposed by your online service will apply. If you participate from your mobile phone, such activity will be subject to charges pursuant to your wireless service provider’s rate plan. Please consult your wireless service provider for more information. Entrants are solely responsible for any related equipment and Internet access charges, if any. Multiple entrants are not permitted to share the same Instagram account. Sponsor’s computer is the official time keeping device for this Sweepstakes. Entries will not be judged; see Section 6 for information on random winner selection.
5. ADDITIONAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
An entry comment must include the required friend tag. Do NOT include any of the following in your comment on a Promotional Post: (a) brand names, brand images, or brand logos (besides those of Sponsor); (b) your email address or phone number; (c) any website address; (d) executable programming of any kind, including without limitation, viruses, worms, spyware, etc.; or (e) encrypted content of any kind. Do not tag yourself, a business, a celebrity, a fictitious account, or any person whom you do not have permission to tag. Should Sponsor determine that an entry is in violation of these Official Rules or any other applicable terms, Sponsor reserves the right to seek to have the entry removed from Instagram, to disqualify the associated Participant, and/or to take other actions it deems necessary, all in Sponsor’s sole discretion.
Any elements that appear in an entry must not: (i) be sexually explicit/suggestive, violent, or derogatory toward any ethnic, racial, gender, religious, professional or age group, (ii) be profane or pornographic, or depict any materially dangerous activity; (iii) promote the illegal or irresponsible use of alcohol, drugs, tobacco, or firearms/weapons; or (iv) promote any particular political agenda or message.
Any elements that appear in an entry, including, without limitation, brand names, logos, or images, must be either: (1) entirely original, created by the entrant; (2) property of the Sponsor (the “Provided Materials”); or (3) in the public domain. Sponsor grants to entrants a limited revocable, non-sub-licensable license to use the Provided Materials for the sole purpose of creating an entry, if an entrant chooses to do so. Use of Provided Materials is not required for entry, nor will it affect an entrant’s chances of winning. In addition, entrant recognizes that all of the right, title, and interest in the Provided Materials as well as all derivative works created using the Provided Materials (including an entry) shall vest exclusively in Sponsor, and entrant will not have or take any action that might harm or adversely affect such rights. No right, title, or interest in and to the Provided Materials except for the limited license granted to entrant in these Official Rules is transferred or created.
Use of any prohibited elements in an entry may result in disqualification of the applicable entry, in the Sponsor’s sole discretion. Entrants must not engage in any violent, dangerous, or illegal behavior in creating an entry. Entries must not violate or encourage the violation of any law, rule or regulation. Entries must not defame, misrepresent or contain disparaging remarks about Sponsor or its products, or other people, products or companies, or communicate messages or images inconsistent with the positive images and/or goodwill to which Sponsor wishes to associate. Entries must not invade the privacy or publicity rights of any person, living or deceased (including, but not limited to, celebrities or celebrity look-alikes), or otherwise infringe upon a person's personal or proprietary rights. Entries that do not include all required information, and/or do not adhere to the foregoing and following requirements, and/or are deemed to be immoral, obscene, profane or not in keeping with Sponsor's image (all as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion) may be considered void in Sponsor’s sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right, but not the obligation, to review any entry for violation of these Official Rules at any time.
By participating in the Sweepstakes, you represent and warrant that: (a) you are the creator of your entry; (b) your entry is wholly original (apart from any allowable public domain elements or elements owned by Sponsor); (c) your entry does not infringe the intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights or any other legal or moral rights of any third party; (d) your entry has not previously been entered in any other promotion or contest; and (e) you own all rights to your entry (including, without limitation, the copyrights contained therein, and excluding any allowable public domain elements or the Provided Materials).
By participating in the Sweepstakes, you further represent and warrant that: (a) you have obtained written permission from each person whose image or likeness is included in the entry; (b) such persons are age 18 or older, and appear to be so (or, if you include the likeness of a person under age 18 in your entry, you represent and warrant that you are the parent or legal guardian of such person); (c) if you are not the person who took any applicable photo, you have obtained written permission from the person who took the applicable photo and such person(s) have granted all necessary rights to use the applicable photo; (d) you can and will give written copies of such permissions to the Sponsor or its designee upon request along with proof of age for any such person; and (e) you understand that such documents may be required in order to be deemed a winner. Failure to provide said proof may result in disqualification of the entry from the Sweepstakes. Sponsor's determination as to whether any entry potentially violates the rights of any third party is final. Submitting an entry that is copyrighted by another individual will make you responsible for any legal action that the legal copyright holder might take against you.
By participating in the Sweepstakes, you grant to the Sponsor and its affiliated companies the unconditional (subject only to any applicable rights of Instagram), perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide license, right and permission to reproduce, encode, store, copy, transmit, publish, post, broadcast, display, publicly perform, edit, adapt, modify, create derivative works of, exhibit, and otherwise use the entry or part thereof (with or without using your name) in any media throughout the world for any purpose, without limitation, and without additional review, compensation, or approval from you or any other party. Without limiting the foregoing, Sponsor reserves the right to post an online gallery of entries selected in its sole discretion, or to re-post any entries selected in its sole discretion on a social media website or on Sponsor’s own website. Should Sponsor edit your entry for purposes of re-use, you are not relieved from responsibility for compliance with these Official Rules. You agree that, upon request by the Sponsor or its designee, you will sign a copyright assignment. By participating, you further agree not to instigate, support, maintain, or authorize any action, claim, or lawsuit against the Releasees (as defined in Section 8 below), or any other person or entity, on the grounds that any use of the entry, or any derivative works, infringes any of your rights, including, without limitation, copyrights and moral rights. You further acknowledge that, unless specified otherwise herein, the Sponsor is in no way obligated to broadcast, publish or use your entry in any way. Nothing herein shall constitute an employment, joint venture, or partnership relationship between you and the Sponsor. In no way are you to be construed as the agent or to be acting as the agent of the Sponsor.
Further, by participating, each entrant: (a) agrees to waive any claim for reimbursement for any equipment or materials necessary to submit an entry regardless of whether or not any particular entry is selected for any prize; (b) acknowledges that the material that will be submitted as part of the Sweepstakes may embody materials, suggestions, or ideas similar to those which have been developed by others or by the Releasees (as defined below in Section 8) and hereby acknowledges that any similarity is purely coincidental and unavoidable in light of the volume of ideas that the Releasees routinely use and consider in the course of each of their business activities, and understands that they will not be entitled to any compensation because of use by the Releasees of any materials similar to those in an entrant’s entry; (c) hereby waives any right to any claim or liability with respect to the Releasees’ use of similar materials; (d) acknowledges that, by acceptance of an entry, the Releasees do not waive any rights to use similar or related ideas previously known to the Releasees or developed by their respective employees, or obtained from sources other than an entrant; and (e) understands that submitting any element that is copyrighted by another individual will result in the applicable entrant being responsible for any legal action that the legal copyright holder might take against the Releasees.
By submitting an entry, each entrant agrees that: (a) their entry is gratuitous and made without restriction; (b) their entry will not place Sponsor under any obligation other than as stated in these Official Rules; and (c) Sponsor is free to publish or otherwise disclose the ideas contained in the entry on a non-confidential basis to anyone or otherwise use the ideas without any additional compensation to the applicable entrant.
6. RANDOM DRAWINGS/PRIZE DESCRIPTION/ODDS: On or about October 12, 2026, an independent judging organization will conduct a random drawing to select one (1) potential winner from among all eligible entries received via the Promotional Post. The verified winner will receive a three (3) night trip for winner and one (1) guest (the “Grand Prize Trip”) which includes: round trip coach air travel to the Long Beach, California area for winner and one (1) guest from the major gateway airport closest to winner’s residence (airports determined solely by Sponsor); double occupancy hotel accommodations for three (3) nights at the WoodSpring Suites Bellflower-Los Angeles (or similar), as selected by Sponsor; tickets for winner and one (1) guest to attend the Formula DRIFT season finale event in Long Beach, California on Friday, October 23, 2026 and Saturday, October 24, 2026 (the “Event”); paddock/pit access at the Event for winner and one (1) guest (as determined by Sponsor); a $500 prepaid debit card selected by Sponsor; and a non-private meet-and-greet opportunity for winner and one (1) guest with Amanda and Branden Sorensen which is subject to availability (the “Meet and Greet Opportunity”). The total approximate retail value of the Grand Prize Trip is $2,994.20. Actual value of Grand Prize Trip may vary depending on point of departure and fare/rate fluctuations.
Grand Prize Trip must be taken on dates selected by Sponsor in its sole discretion, currently anticipated to be departing on Thursday, October 22, 2026, and returning on Sunday, October 25, 2026, but subject to change as deemed necessary in Sponsor’s sole discretion, or trip will be forfeited in its entirety.
There is no retail value ascribed to the Meet and Greet Opportunity. If the Meet and Greet Opportunity portion of the Grand Prize Trip cannot be awarded as described due to unavailability or any other reason, no alternative compensation will be provided. All travel arrangements must be made through the Sponsor or Sponsor's designee. Use any Event ticket and/or prepaid debit card is subject to all terms printed/referenced thereon. Certain other restrictions may apply. Grand Prize Trip winner and their guest must travel together on the same itinerary. It is the responsibility of the Grand Prize Trip winner and their guest to provide proper travel documentation (including government issued “REAL ID” picture identification and/or passport, as required. Airline tickets are non-refundable/non-transferable and are not valid for upgrades and/or frequent flyer miles. All airline tickets are subject to flight variation, work stoppages, and schedule or route changes. Sponsor reserves the right to structure travel route and select accommodations in its sole and absolute discretion. Grand Prize Trip winner will not receive cash or any other form of compensation if actual travel costs are less than the estimate made in these Official Rules. The round-trip air transportation element for the prize begins and ends at the point of departure. The Grand Prize trip is subject to seat and accommodation availability, as well as Sponsor’s terms and conditions generally applicable thereto. For the avoidance of doubt, round trip coach air travel is limited to one plane seat per traveler. Releasees (as defined in Section 8 below) shall not be responsible for any cancellations, delays, diversions or substitution or any act or omissions whatsoever by the air carriers, hotels, venue operators, transportation companies, prize providers or any other persons providing any prize-related services or accommodations. Releasees are not liable for any missed prize events, missed opportunities or expenses incurred as a consequence of flight cancellation/delay or ground transportation delay. No refund or compensation will be made in the event of the cancellation or delay of any transportation or other prize element except at the sole and absolute discretion of Sponsor. Additional prize award details and travel information may be provided to the winner at the time of notification.
Grand Prize Trip winner and guest are also responsible for obtaining travel insurance (and all other forms of insurance) at their option and hereby acknowledge that Sponsor has not and will not obtain or provide travel insurance or any other form of insurance. For the avoidance of doubt, winner’s guest must be the same person for all prize-related travel, lodging, and events. Grand Prize Trip winner’s guest must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and must have reached the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence as of the date of winner notification (unless winner is guest’s parent or legal guardian, which is the only situation where a person under the age of majority may participate as guest of the winner). Prior to issuance of travel documents, Grand Prize Trip winner’s guest (or winner, on behalf of themselves and guest, if guest is under the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence and winner is guest’s parent or legal guardian) must execute liability/publicity releases and provide Sponsor (or its designee) with a copy of government-issued photo identification which is valid for domestic air travel, by the date specified in Sponsor’s (or its designee’s) request, or such travel guest may be disqualified in Sponsor’s sole discretion. Once a travel guest is selected, they may not be substituted, except in Sponsor's sole and absolute discretion. Travel is subject to the terms and conditions set forth in this Sweepstakes, and those set forth by Sponsor’s transportation carrier(s) of choice. Lost, stolen or damaged airline tickets, Event tickets, or other prizes will not be replaced or exchanged. If the Grand Prize Trip winner lives within 200 miles of the Event venue (as determined by Sponsor), Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to substitute ground transportation in lieu of airfare, and any difference in value will not be awarded. All expenses not specifically mentioned herein, are not included as part of any prize package, and are solely the winner’s responsibility, including, but not limited to: taxes, meals and beverages, ground transportation, travel insurance, bag check fees, parking fees, laundry service, merchandise, souvenirs, telephone calls, tips, gratuities and service charges.
Grand Prize Trip winner or their guest must provide the hotel with a major credit card issued in one of their names to cover room security and incidental expenses, if any. Further, the hotel may require the person providing the major credit card to be twenty-one (21) years of age or older, which may require the winner to select a guest who is twenty-one (21) years of age or older, if winner is between the ages of eighteen (18) and twenty (20). Transportation carrier, venue, and accommodation regulations and conditions apply. In the event the Grand Prize Trip winner (and/or their guest) engage in behavior that (as determined by Sponsor or any prize provider in its or their sole and absolute discretion) is obnoxious, inappropriate, threatening, illegal or that is intended to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person, Sponsor reserves the right to terminate the winner’s (and/or their guest’s) participation in any aspect of the Grand Prize Trip early. If any element of the Grand Prize Trip is cancelled, delayed, or postponed beyond the reasonable control of Sponsor, the remaining portion of the Grand Prize will be awarded as complete and final (if any), and no substitute compensation or refund will be offered.
By participating in Grand Prize Trip or any related activity, the winner and their guest represent that they understand that travel, whether by plane, automobile, or other conveyance, or by foot, and in the air, contains some inherent element of risk of accident, illness, injury, loss or death, which may be caused by negligence, forces of nature, or other agencies, known or unknown. winner and their guest represent that they recognize that such risks may be present at any time before, during and after the trip. In order to be considered a winner and partake of the enjoyment of the Grand Prize Trip, winner and their guest must be willing to accept the risk, and to confirm their acceptance to such risk in writing at Sponsor's request. Grand Prize Trip winner and their guest also fully understand and agree that (i) there is an inherent risk of exposure to diseases in any place where people are or have been present; (ii) no precautions, including the protocols that may be implemented from time to time based upon public health and government-sponsored guidelines, can eliminate the risk of exposure to disease in such a place; and (iii) exposure to diseases can result in being subject to quarantine requirements, illness, disability, other short-term and long-term health effects, and/or death, regardless of age or health condition.
Any prize details not specified herein will be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Any difference between approximate value and actual value may not be awarded. See Section 7 below for additional prize restrictions and winner notification details. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
7. WINNER NOTIFICATION/PRIZE RESTRICTIONS: The name of a potential winner and/or their social media “handles” may be announced online prior to verification; however, any such announcement is not a guarantee of eligibility. The potential winner will be notified via direct or private message on Instagram, or via a winner notification comment on the applicable Promotional Post where Sponsor will mention or tag the potential winner in the comment. The message or comment will instruct the potential winner to send a private message to the Sponsor along with the potential winner’s full name, email address, and telephone number, within twenty-four (24) hours (measured in the local time zone) after the time that the notification message or comment was sent/posted, as shown by the applicable platform timestamp. Potential winner(s) should make certain they are corresponding specifically with Sponsor’s Instagram account @woodspringsuites before providing any information on Instagram. It is further recommended that entrants confirm that their Instagram notification settings are turned on as applicable, such that they would be notified in a timely fashion of Sponsor’s attempt to contact them in this manner. A potential winner must reply as instructed to identify themselves, confirm their eligibility and ability to accept the prize, and provide any requested contact information within such twenty-four (24) hour period, or such potential winner may be disqualified in Sponsor’s sole discretion. In Sponsor’s sole discretion, a potential winner may only be notified one time as set forth above for attempted prize notification. A potential winner will subsequently be required (by Sponsor or its designee) to complete a declaration of eligibility, a liability release, a copyright assignment, (where legal) a publicity release, and an IRS W-9 form, and to complete any other releases or provide any other documentation deemed necessary by Sponsor or its designee to verify the potential winner’s eligibility or to clear Sponsor’s intended use of the potential winner’s entry, which must be returned within the time period specified by Sponsor or its designee at the time of such request. Proof of identity, age, and legal residence (in the form of a copy of government-issued photo identification which is valid for domestic air travel) may be required to claim a prize. Winner will receive an IRS Form 1099 issued in his/her name for the fair market value of prize(s) received. Any winner or potential winner may be disqualified in Sponsor’s sole discretion: (a) if they fail (or if their intended guest fails) to reply or to provide any required information or properly completed documents within the required time period; (b) if they fail (or if their intended guest fails) to comply with any of the terms of these Official Rules; or (c) if any prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable. In the event of disqualification of a winner, at Sponsor’s sole discretion, the prize may be awarded to an alternate winner selected from among the remaining applicable eligible entries via the means of winner determination described herein, pending verification of eligibility (and provided that sufficient time remains for notification and prize fulfilment, in Sponsor’s sole judgement). If any prize remains unclaimed after three (3) potential winners have been notified for that prize, the prize may remain unawarded, in Sponsor’s sole discretion. No responsibility is assumed by Sponsor for any incorrect or missing social media account information, prize claim information, postal address, email address or phone number associated with an entry/prize claim, or for any change of address, email, social media account or phone number of a Participant. No prize may be sold or transferred by the winner. Unless otherwise specified herein, there will be no prize substitution except at Sponsor’s sole discretion due to unavailability, in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded. All other costs and expenses associated with acceptance and use of a prize not specified herein as being awarded are the sole responsibility of the applicable winner. Sponsor will not replace any lost, damaged or stolen prizes. All taxes (including without limitation Federal, state and local taxes) in connection with a prize, and the reporting consequence thereof, are the sole responsibility of the applicable winner. Sponsor makes no representations regarding the tax liability associated with any prize. Physical prizes (if any) will only be shipped to a physical address (no P.O. Boxes permitted) within the Eligibility Area.
8. RELEASE AND LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: BY PARTICIPATING IN THE SWEEPSTAKES OR IN ANY SWEEPSTAKES-RELATED ACTIVITY, PARTICIPANTS HEREBY AGREE TO RELEASE, INDEMNIFY, AND HOLD HARMLESS SPONSOR, SORENSEN MOTORSPORTS, META PLATFORMS, INC. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, THE SWEEPSTAKES, ALL PRIZES, AND ALL MATERIALS PROVIDED ON OR THROUGH ANY SWEEPSTAKES-RELATED WEBSITE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, NEGLIGENCE, SHALL THE RELEASEES BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF PARTICIPATION IN THE SWEEPSTAKES OR ANY PRIZE OR ANY RELATED ACTIVITY, EVEN IF ANY OR ALL OF THE FOREGOING OR ANY OF THEIR AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVES HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES; THEREFORE, SUCH EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. BY PARTICIPATING IN THE SWEEPSTAKES, YOU WAIVE ANY AND ALL RIGHTS TO BRING ANY CLAIM OR ACTION RELATED TO SUCH MATTERS IN ANY FORUM BEYOND ONE (1) YEAR AFTER THE FIRST OCCURRENCE OF THE KIND OF ACT, EVENT, CONDITION OR OMISSION UPON WHICH THE CLAIM OR ACTION IS BASED.
9. GENERAL: Releasees and Internet/wireless access providers are not responsible for: (a) unauthorized human intervention in the Sweepstakes, including the actions of a Participant or other individuals in connection with the Sweepstakes, such as attempts to circumvent these Official Rules or otherwise interfere with the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes; (b) incomplete, lost, late, misdirected, damaged, garbled, or illegible entries; (c) any technical malfunction, human error, lost/delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or line failure in connection with any telephone network, computer equipment, software, server or any combination thereof; (d) any injury or damage to a Participant's or any other person's computer or other equipment related to or resulting from participation in the Sweepstakes; (e) printing errors or any errors made in the advertisement of the Sweepstakes; (f) errors in the administration of the Sweepstakes or the processing of entries; (g) changes to social media platform policies and procedures that may interfere with the operation of the Sweepstakes; (h) content filtering or any malfunction, error or failure which may impact the accessibility of any Sweepstakes-related website, entries, or the transmission or receipt of winner verification notices (or other communications with winners or potential winners); (i) claims based on publicity rights, defamation and/or invasion of privacy and the collection, use and/or sharing by Releasees of personally identifiable information of the Participants; or (j) death, injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from a Participant’s participation in the Sweepstakes or the receipt, use, misuse, or possession of any prize. In the event of any conflict between any details contained in these Official Rules and the details contained in any Sweepstakes advertising materials, the details as set forth in these Official Rules shall prevail. If, for any reason, the Sweepstakes (or portion thereof) is not capable of running as planned by reason of damage by computer virus, worms, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical limitations or failures, by reason of any acts of God, terrorist acts, disease, pandemic, earthquake, war, fire, flood, unusually severe weather, strikes or legal disputes (whether legal or illegal), industry conditions, bankruptcy or liquidation, marketplace demands, applicable law, unforeseen obstacles or any other causes which, in the sole opinion of Sponsor, could corrupt, compromise, undermine or otherwise affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, viability or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend all or any part of the Sweepstakes, and to select the applicable winner(s) from among the applicable eligible, non-suspect entries received for the Sweepstakes up to the time of such cancellation, termination, modification or suspension, as applicable, or to proceed in such a manner as may be deemed fair and equitable by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Entry must be made by the entrant and via the means described in these Official Rules. You are not a winner until your entry has been verified and you have complied with these Official Rules. If any provision of these Official Rules is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision will be severed from the remainder of these Official Rules, which will otherwise remain in full force and effect.
Sponsor's failure to enforce any portion of these Official Rules does not affect or waive Sponsor's right to enforce any portion of Official Rules at any time. Headings and captions are used in these Official Rules solely for convenience of reference and shall not be deemed to affect in any manner the meaning or intent of these Official Rules or any provision hereof. When terms such as “may” are used in the Official Rules, Sponsor has sole and absolute discretion. Participants agree to waive any rights to claim ambiguity or any deficiency in these Official Rules or in the Sweepstakes, including its administration.
Participants further understand and agree that all rights under Section 1542 of the Civil Code of California (“Section 1542”) and any similar law of any state or territory of the United States that may be applicable with respect to the foregoing release are hereby expressly and forever waived. Participants acknowledge that Section 1542 provides that: “A GENERAL RELEASE DOES NOT EXTEND TO CLAIMS THAT THE CREDITOR OR RELEASING PARTY DOES NOT KNOW OR SUSPECT TO EXIST IN HIS OR HER FAVOR AT THE TIME OF EXECUTING THE RELEASE AND THAT, IF KNOWN BY HIM OR HER, WOULD HAVE MATERIALLY AFFECTED HIS OR HER SETTLEMENT WITH THE DEBTOR OR RELEASED PARTY.” The releases hereunder are intended to apply to all claims not known or suspected to exist with the intent of waiving the effect of laws requiring the intent to release future unknown claims.
10. CONDUCT: Sponsor and its designees reserve the right, at any time and in their sole discretion, to disqualify and/or deem ineligible to participate in the Sweepstakes or any future Sponsor promotions, any individual they suspect: (a) to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or any related website; (b) to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or Sponsor’s privacy policy or other applicable terms, conditions or guidelines; (c) to be acting in bad faith or in a disruptive manner, or with the intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person; (d) to have failed to agree to these Official Rules; or (e) to be in violation of these Official Rules. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A PARTICIPANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES AS WELL AS CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD SPONSOR BELIEVE OR BECOME AWARE THAT SUCH AN ATTEMPT HAS BEEN, IS BEING, OR WILL BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES FROM ANY RESPONSIBLE PARTICIPANT(S) AND OTHER RESPONSIBLE INDIVIDUAL(S) IN THE ATTEMPTED DAMAGE TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.
11. PUBLICITY: By participating in the Sweepstakes (including, but not limited to, attending the Grand Prize Trip as the winner or as a guest): (a) you agree to be filmed/photographed/recorded by Sponsor or its designee in connection with the Grand Prize Trip (where the results of such filming/photography/recording may be referred to herein as the “Grand Prize Trip Footage”); (b) you agree that the Grand Prize Trip Footage is owned and controlled solely by Sponsor; (c) you grant to Sponsor and its affiliated companies the right, except where prohibited by law, to use any Grand Prize Trip Footage and/or your name, likeness, picture, address (city and state), voice, biographical information, written or oral statements about the Sweepstakes or Sponsor’s products/services, or any recordings/images/video you provide to Sponsor or its designee in connection with the Sweepstakes or Grand Prize Trip (collectively, the “Materials”), for advertising and promotional purposes in promoting or publicizing Sponsor, its affiliated companies, and the products or services of each, in any and all media without limitation as to time or territory, without compensation unless required by law; (d) you agree that you shall have no right of approval, no claim to compensation, and no claim (including, without limitation, claims based on invasion of privacy, defamation, or right of publicity) arising out of any use, blurring, alteration, or use in composite form of the Materials; and (e) you forever waive any legal or moral rights in the Materials that may preclude the Sponsor and its affiliated companies from using the Materials, or require your permission for the Sponsor and its affiliated companies to use the Materials.
12. DISPUTES/CHOICE OF LAW: By participating in the Sweepstakes or any related activity in any way, each Participant agrees that: (a) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with the Sweepstakes, or any prize awarded, must be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and solely and exclusively in the applicable state or federal court located in or nearest to North Bethesda, Maryland, and each Participant hereby submits to sole and exclusive personal jurisdiction to said courts in the State of Maryland for any such dispute and irrevocably waives any and all rights to object to such jurisdiction; (b) any and all claims, judgments, and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the Sweepstakes but in no event attorneys' fees; (c) under no circumstances will a Participant be permitted to obtain any award for, and Participant hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased; and (d) Participants’ remedies are limited to a claim for money damages (if any) and Participants irrevocably waive any right to seek injunctive or equitable relief. Some jurisdictions do not allow for limitations on the ability to pursue class action remedies, or certain kinds of damages, and so these limitations may not apply to you. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules or the rights and obligations of a Participant or the Releasees in connection with the Sweepstakes shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Maryland without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of Maryland or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Maryland.
13. COLLECTION AND USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION: By entering the Sweepstakes, Participants agree and consent to Sponsor's collection, use and retention of their personal information provided in the course of their participation, for all purposes related to the Sweepstakes (including, without limitation, processing and administering entries, sharing a Participant’s personal information with Sponsor’s service providers, contractors, prizing partners, etc. as necessary to conduct and operate the Sweepstakes, communicating with and awarding prizes to winner(s), making public announcements about winner(s), and advertising, promoting and publicizing the Sweepstakes), as well as in accordance with Sponsor’s Privacy Policy available at https://www.woodspring.com/privacy and these Official Rules, provided that in the event of any conflict between these Official Rules and such Privacy Policy, the terms and conditions of these Official Rules shall prevail. Please review Sponsor’s Privacy Policy before submitting your entry. If you object to the above or anything stated in Sponsor’s Privacy Policy, you should not enter the Sweepstakes.
14. WINNER’S LIST: For the first name, last initial, city and state of the winner, mail a self-addressed, stamped envelope to be received by December 31, 2026, to: Woodspring Suites × Sorensen Motorsports “Drift to the Finish Line” Sweepstakes Winner List, PO Box 172, Newtown, CT 06470-0172. Winner may also be announced on the Sponsor’s website and/or social media accounts, at Sponsor’s sole discretion.
